The Research Council of Norway
SeaValue
In this project, we looked into several aspects of Norwegian seaweed production, from harvesting and sorting to conservation and product development.
2019 - 2022
PathoSeq
The objective of the «PathoSeq» project is to prepare Norwegian food industry for the challenges and possibilities of using modern DNA sequencing technologies for surveillance and control of foodborne pathogenic bacteria. The focus is on Listeria monocytogenes, considered the largest food safety challenge in Norwegian food processing industry.
2019 - 2023
CMSEdit
Identify and validate candidate genes for CMS resistance in Atlantic salmon through state-of-the-art gene editing.
Innotørk
Through better drying methods and good knowledge dissemination, research will contribute to more new and nutritious dried food products.
SaRi
The SaRi project aims to study coexistence between fish farming, fisheries and fishing tourism in Finnmark, and whether facts about ripple effects affect the coexistence between these parties.
Regional Research Fund Northern Norway RFF
TastyKelp
In this project, we studied components in macroalgae that can be used as ingredients in the food industry, and we examined whether processing technologies can reduce the levels of potentially hazardous substances contained therein.
2019 - 2021
Nofima
OpenInnoTrain
The overall aim of the project is staff exchange and cooperation to foster bridging the gap between research and industry.
EU - Horizon 2020
MEESO
The project aims to map ways to sustainably utilize mesopelagic species.
DigitalAqua
The project aims to help improve our assessment and knowledge of fish welfare via digitalisation.
AquaIMPACT
A salmon's skin is an effective first line of defence against pathogens. In this new project, scientists will investigate how omega-3 fatty acids and zinc affect the robustness of barrier tissue such as skin, gills and intestines.
FAIRCoast
The FAIRCoast project aims to facilitate more integrated governance of the coastal zone in Norway.
Wildberries
The aim of WILDBERRIES is to increase predictability and value creation of Norwegian wild berries.
FutureEUAqua
In this project we will investigate future fish farming through the value chain, in various production systems and with various species, from the genetics to processing and packaging, including societal and economical aspects.
2018 - 2022
SmartBio
The main goal is to develop novel process analytical technology, which will lead to new product innovations in the Enzymatic protein hydrolysis (EPH).
2018 - 2021
Agricultural Agreement Research Funds (FJM)|Foundation for Research Levy on Agricultural Products (FFL)
Notably
In Notably we will develop a new technological solution where processing of cod and chicken residual raw materials takes place in several different stages, so that the extracted components will be more valuable than they are today.
AQUABIOPRO-FIT
In this project we worked to find new methods for concentrating residual raw materials from, pelagic fish, farmed salmon, trout, sea bass and sea bream, and investigated the health effects of these.
iNOBox
Teaming up with key industry and market players, the main goal for the iNOBox research project was to integrate in the Norwegian food industry more efficient, profitable and sustainable processing, securing the supply of safe, high-quality and nutritious foods.
